Brazil striker Robinho has reportedly arrived in Italy and will sign with AC Milan if the seven-time European champions let go of Marco Borriello. The ANSA news agency reports that Robinho landed at Milan’s Malpensa airport yesterday for medical tests with Milan pending his possible transfer from Manchester City. Robinho, who was sent on loan to Brazilian side Santos last season, could become Milan’s second major signing in a span of four days after Zlatan Ibrahimovic transferred from Barcelona.
Huntelaar moves
Netherlands forward Klaas-Jan Huntelaar joined Bundesliga club Schalke from Milan. Schalke coach Felix Magath was quoted yesterday in German daily Bild as saying that “the negotiations were more difficult than expected.” But he added: “I am looking forward to Klaas-Jan. He will help us.” Magath has revamped Schalke by releasing costly veterans and bringing in former Spain striker Raul Gonzalez and former Germany defender Christoph Metzelder on free transfers from Real Madrid. The club also completed the signing of Atletico midfielder Jose Jurado for$16.5m.
